Description

Pamix 1250 is a brown aqueous-solution admixture formulated to modify cement hydration in concrete. Depending on its dosage it complies with ASTM C494 as type A, D, G.

Recommended applications

  • Concrete in hot weather.
  • General-purpose concrete.
  • High-flow concrete with slump retention.
  • Pumpable concrete.
  • Concrete designed for durability.
  • Concrete for slabs and/or pavements.

Advantages

  • Produces “flowing” concrete with a controlled range of slump loss and workability.
  • Greatly reduces water demand.
  • Reduces segregation and bleeding in plastic concrete.
  • Reduces cracking and permeability in hardened concrete
  • Significantly reduces placement time and cost.
  • Reduces the water required in the mix at a given flow, or increases the flow of the mix at a given water/cement ratio.
  • Higher compressive and flexural strengths at short, medium and long term.
  • Eases finishing and pumping of the concrete.

Dosage

Reference dosage 4 to 9 mL / kg of cementitious material

The recommended dosage is between: 4 to 9 mL / kg of cementitious material; to define the appropriate dosage for use in concrete, consult your trusted advisor at PAMIX INTERNATIONAL, S.A., who will make a suggestion according to the use of the concrete; nevertheless, it is advisable to run trials with all the materials to be used in the concrete mix design, taking into account ambient conditions, transport time and placement time of the concrete on site.

The best performance of the admixture in the concrete mix is obtained through trials with the materials to be used; by keeping to this practice with the guidance of PAMIX INTERNATIONAL, S.A., you will obtain the best cost–benefit ratio.

To minimise the problems that arise when ambient or concrete temperatures are high, follow the recommendations of the current ACI 305R, “Hot Weather Concreting”. Contains no added chlorides. Consult the Safety Data Sheet before use

Compatibility

Pamix 1250 is effective either as a single admixture or as part of a system with other admixtures in the Pamix line; it is added to the mix independently of other admixtures. It is not compatible with naphthalene-based admixtures.

Packaging

Pamix 1250 is supplied in bulk, in 208 L drums and in 1000 litre containers.

The admixture should be kept closed and sealed at all times in its original containers, in a roofed store protected from the weather

Shelf life

12 months in the original unopened container.
