PAMIX 230 AF

Description

Set accelerating admixture containing no added chlorides. It increases the possibility of applying sprayed concrete linings at greater thickness through layered application in a single pass.

It increases strength development, particularly early strength, and improves durability.

Dosage

Pamix 230 AF is dosed at between 2.5 % and 8 % of the cementitious content of the concrete mix. The admixture is dosed at the nozzle of the spraying equipment.

Compatibility

Do not mix Pamix 230 AF with other accelerators, as this will cause immediate blockages in pumps and hoses.

Recommendations and restrictions

• Choose the cement and know its date of manufacture.
• Dosages above the recommended maximum can cause a reduction in final strength.
• Evaluate the mix design to meet the concrete specifications and achieve the appropriate dosage.
• Pamix 230 AF is a suspension, and therefore not all dosing pumps will work properly. To obtain a good result, it is essential that correct and constant dosing be maintained.
• Keep in touch with your technical advisor for the recommendation of the equipment to be used.

The substrate must be clean and free of loose particles. Before using Pamix 230 AF, the dosing equipment and the rest of the system must be cleaned thoroughly with plenty of water. Failing to do so causes blockages in the system. Make sure that all operators involved in the trials and application are properly informed.

Safety

Avoid contact with skin and eyes and wear rubber gloves and safety glasses. Should contact occur, rinse with plenty of water. In case of eye contact, seek immediate medical attention. Consult the Safety Data Sheet for Pamix 230 AF for further information.

Storage

It must be stored at a temperature between 5 and 35 °C (41 to 95 °F).

Pamix 230 AF must be kept in closed containers or tanks made of plastic or fibreglass. Do not store in steel containers, as the pH can cause corrosion, which could affect the performance of the product.

Agitate Pamix 230 AF before use: after prolonged storage it may have settled in ways that are not visible.

Performance testing must be carried out before use; the cement to be used and its behaviour must be known in order to obtain optimum results. Consult your technical advisor at PAMIX INTERNATIONAL, S.A.

Shelf life

It has a minimum shelf life of 4 months. Depending on storage conditions the shelf life may be longer than stated; verification of behaviour in concrete is recommended before use if the Pamix 230 AF is older than the specified shelf life.
